San Francisco Fashion Week 2014 "Street To Runway"

Veronica Boyer- September 2014

It has been a busy and eventful month for me! I just wrapped up walking in San Francisco Fashion Week. It will hopefully be the first of many fashion weeks! I walked for designers Lisa Oliveras, Jeaneen Brunck, Yia’Re Couture by Aryea Kolubah, The Menimal, Brigid Ko, A By Anubha, Apoteca, and Stella Carakasi. It was such a great experience, I met so many new people and began many new friendships! The first night that showcased the emerging designers was featured on Racked SF, check it out below!

GEV Magazine Editorial "Her Bohemian Rhapsody"

Veronica Boyer- September 2014

The long wait is finally over! My first fashion editorial has been released in Gastronomique En Vogue Magazine! It took a while but I never let anything stop me! It just took the right people and the right timing. We shotright near the beautiful Half Moon Bay and even though it was very chilly the lighting was just perfect! It was an incredible experience and I can't wait for my chance to shoot another with the UH-mazing GEV team! You can check out the full editorial below!

Alyssa Nicole Fall 2014 Collection Preview "Still Cold"

Veronica Boyer- August 2014

Alyssa Nicole designs are the epitomy of class and elegance. This past month I had the chance to be a part of the Fall Fashion preview called "Still Cold". It was really amazing to be on the balcony of the FIDM building downtown overlooking the shopping district. It was very cold up there with the fog rolling in but it made for a really amazing show. The runway featured wooden stump platforms that the models stood on as the designs were presented. It was an amazing experience and I hope I get the chance to wear the designs again soon! The show was featured in a few different places, feel free to go read all about the show from the other side of the runway below. GEV magazine also featured the show in their latest issue which is coming out soon!

Ilanio "Cobol 77" Fashion Show

Veronica Boyer- June 2014

In my first non-university affiliated fashion show, I had the opportunity to walk for designer Ilanio in his "Cobol 77" flash mob fashion show. It was extremely challenging because of the unorthodox nature of, well, the whole show! From the runway that was the length of Justin Herman Plaza on the Embarcadero to the steel heels, the production was nothing short of incredible to be a part of and I'm sure also to watch. It was truly a memorable experience that I will never forget and hope to be a part of again another day. In the meantime, you can check out the SFGate article that features the show and some preliminary pictures.  Be sure to check out my portfolio for my best picture! You can see the offcial video below as well.

Provoke 2014- SFSU Fashion Show

Veronica Boyer- May 2014

On May 1st I was proud to be a part of the San Francisco State University annual fashion showcase, "Provoke". I walked for Senior Van Tran for her line "Mystique" which was regarded by many as the most cohesive collection in the show. It was a pleasure working with her and I know she will be successful in the future. You can check out an article about the show along with a Flickr slideshow and Youtube video with picture highlights. I am featured in both the slideshow and the video, see if you can spot me!

Recycled Runway- CCSF Fashion Show

Veronica Boyer- November 2013

In my first official runway show, I had the opportunity to model for some of my fellow City College of San Francisco students. The theme was vintage and recycled clothing. A few weeks later the show was featured in the CCSF newspaper The Guardsman. You can check out the article below. Go Rams!

The cafeteria on Ocean campus turned into a runway show as students of the Fashion Direction Coordination class organized and arranged the event finding outfits, models and hair and makeup artists as part of their final project on Nov. 11. Department Chair Diane Green sat in the audience, grading the work of the team composed by students Darin Prakittipoom, Sara Ljung, Boin Kim and Lesha Lacy. The entire class was divided into four groups of four to five people each. They put four different shows together in November and December. The class’ goal wasn’t for the student to design their lines, but to experience the managing work behind a fashion show. “After class you should be able to run a show,” team leader Prakittipoom said. Prakittipoom and Ljung found inspiration for the collection in stores such as Goodwill and Heroine boutique. They borrowed clothes and matched them with accessories they found among team and models. Green was pleased with the result and is looking forward to the spring event where fashion students will actually design their collection and organize the annual Ruby Skye Fashion Show."

National American Miss- Northern California

Veronica Boyer- July 2012

For two years I was privileged to be a participant in the National American Miss Organization. I met some beautiful and amazing girls who were equally talented, talented, and intelligent. Unlike other pageants, NAM focuses on building character, confidence, and promoting inner beauty. For me it was more about improving myself over the years and learning how to best present myself in professional situations. Here's a little more about National American Miss:

"Whether this is your first pageant, or you have been in a pageant before, this is the pageant you have been looking for! National American Miss is an opportunity like no other. You’ll gain poise, self-confidence, and valuable communication skills. You’ll feel good about yourself and gain the competitive edge to succeed later in whatever field you may choose, from modeling to business."
